Cowry extensions in your hair color for your yarn or dread falls!

Choose between a set of 2 or 3 cowry braids which we will attach to a yarn or a size L dread fall of the same order, the pair is for a pair of falls of the same order or two different dread falls you wish to decorate with braids in the same color (the dread falls/ yarn falls are not included).

These cowry extensions are especially popular for tribal fusion belly dance and costuming - perfect mermaid, shaman, forest witch/ elf & woodland fairy or magician hair for fantasy larp and cosplay costumes.

Hair color

The braids are custom-matched to your own hair color or made in a contrastive one, or matched to the yarn or dread falls, just as you like it! See all details below above the color charts! The braids are sealed in their ends, so they will stay like you receive them and won't open any further. 

How will I receive these additional extensions?

If you buy these braids without any yarn hair fall or dread fall, we will attach them to a strong hair tie. Otherwise they are attached to the yarn or dread fall of your order. Please note that the yarn fall or dread fall is not included, you need to add them to your order. The yarn hair pieces and dreadlocks in the pictures just serve to show you, what these cowry braids look like mixed with dreads or colorful yarn strands.
This additional decoration is perfect for a single yarn fall and a single size L dread fall, length 60 cm/ 24 inches, the pair is made for a pair of hair falls to attach to pigtails. These upgrade cannot be added to clip-in dreads, but we have a clip-in variant of this hair piece you can mix with clip-in dreads, click here to see it!

Measurements & number of cowry shells

These hair extensions are decorated with about 10 carefully selected cowries per braid - meaning the set of 2 comes with about 20 cowries as decorations and the set of 3 braids with about 30 cowry shells as decoration. 
Each braid is about 55 cm/ 22 inches long and 1.2 cm/ 0.5 inches wide.
The braids are sealed in their ends, so they will stay like you receive them and won't open any further. 

Please consider that your super lightweight yarn or dread fall will get much heavier with these braids - it's not the braids that add that much weight, but the cowry shells do!

Hair Color

Your hair color can be matched perfectly including highlights, lowlights and all shades, because we blend the color exclusively for your hair piece! One's own hair usually contains 2-3 colors (only dark hair often consists of 1 color only), hence we include up to 3 colors in the price.

How to give us perfect color instruction in 2 steps only, with the help of the menus above

The price includes a custom mix of up to 3 basic colors, a fourth or fifth color can be added at extra costs. Some special colors also cost extra, you will see this in the menu.

1st menu HAIR COLOR, choose your colors or enter "advice needed".

Press Ctrl and click all the colors you wish to choose for your hair piece. If you need more than 3 colors, choose the upgrades 4th or 4th and 5th color from the drop down menu, so the extra fees are added. If you forget this, we will send you a manual invoice for the extra fees and delivery will be delayed, because we can only start making your hair piece after this second invoice has been paid. 
Option: If you want to make your purchase, but still need our support in choosing the best color match, choose "Advice needed!" instead. In this case delivery time cannot be met, because we can only start making your order when all information is complete. If extra costs because of a 4th or 5th color or special colors occur, we will send you a manual invoice and delivery time will only start after payment for this second invoice has been effected.

2nd box for optional color proportions "Insert proportions for colors if desired here"

If you wish more of one color and less of another use the little message box to insert desired proportions (e.g. 2/3 of color 8 and 1/3 of color 30). When you leave this box free, we will use equal proportions of all colors.
